Re-watching the series this year (with a group). I love it even more and find an even deeper resonance in its companionship and vessel-ship (new word!) through Lent. Thank you again to Fr Breault (and congratulations on your new service in the Jesuit Vocations Office!!) and all the cast and crew.

Just watched #9 & #10 episodes. Realized I'd had a dream last night! In synchrony with Able's compelling call in his dream to "just go!" Don't worry about the destination or the outcome. Vaya con Dios! Then the terrific #10 episode about remembering what we've lost or stumbling onto the gap of what we lost or never had. The place that only Christ can heal for us; if we'll leave our prison and follow Him.

Thank you so much! Blessings to you all & beannachtai go leor for Pope Francis!

A profound deep thank you for all who created this Lenten allegory. It was a shot of hope for Catholic media, for keeping current with social media and its participants. The Reflections were important , helpful and impacting. Again I thank you for this effort. Please continue to create in new ways, so we can bring the kingdom to more than those in the pews.

It is Easter evening. My company is gone and the house is quiet. I suffer from clinical depression and I watched every episode several times..Whenever there was a new one, I watched the old ones and added it. I just watched the last one....it is the longing, it is the hope for another life, it is the waiting for a life of Alleluia's. My soul has been empty like the tomb...He has been there all along waiting for me to recognize him. Good Friday I went by myself to the only Jesuit parish I could find. I know it isn't about Jesuit, it is about Catholic,, it is about God. But there is something drawing me to this spirituality. I don't ever want my suffering to be in vain. What struck me is how they left everything material behind. When one has a longing strong enough, it is easy to leave those things behind. I see what could be, I hope for what will be and I too long for Him. Well done, good and faithful servants of God. Well done. Please leave this up for a long time....it will continue to have impact for lots of people and you never know whose life you might save.

Extremely thought-provoking! Deep imagination. Life in a nutshell ... a perpetual waiting, a looking-forward to, a journey in advent, in expectation, and yes! A longing. Thank you for this. It stirs people up. What now will I do with my life?

I found this series to be very powerful and thought provoking. I watched some episodes 2 or 3 times, and today I watched them all in sequence. I did not have a group to share this experience with, and am really sorry about that. As I look at the cast and review the story, I find today, that I am Rebecca and was actually relieved that she (I) got to go along in the final episode. I will be reflecting on this series for a long time. Thank you so much, and please do this again.

Thank you so much for this work. I loved the series. Especially the last episode - Jan Broberg's acting left me in tears. Late in the series I discovered the reflections and am very grateful for them.
Please do more.
A suggestion: help those of us who are poor at remembering names by showing not just the faces of the actors, but also their role names and their actual names.
Again, thank you so very much.

My husband and I loved the entire series. We looked at a lot of the reflections. We thought that they were all helpful on our own Lenten journeys. We had great anticipation for each episode and sometimes watched them more than once.

We had good discussions about the characters and their situations. We kept wondering what would happen next. We never knew what to expect.

We liked how artistically the project was presented. It was beautiful, scary, and humorous at different junctures. The character of Gus and his artistic vision was particularly interesting. The music was great, too. Everyone, from the writers, the producers, the director, and the actors did an outstanding job.

We wish that you could have had a larger audience. We certainly spread the word among our friends.

Well done!

Just finished watching the last episode....WOW! I'm still shaken....charlotte's moving speech about her mark brought tears to my eyes. I guess I've been - (and to a certain extent, I still am) in her shoes...afraid to "confess", to come to terms with my humanity, my frailties. Awesome. The groups response to her, and to what 40 is about: life, the longing...the longing for Christ in our lives, that beautiful gift God has given us, the lives we are meant to live to the fullest, in love, in peace, in justice, in service to others...and that cleansing rain at the end was marvelous! That Water of life that is Christ, who washes away our sins and gives us time and again a new chance to convert, to be reborn in Him and with Him walk the path of love, light and truth. I just want to thank everyone involved for this amazing Lenten experience. I hope there will be more projects like "40"....it has certainly made me delve deeper into Lent and look at it from a completely different perspective. I'm sorry for the long message but this episode has stirred many feeling within....again thank you! May you all have a blessed Holy Week.
